Three tools, three jobs. Use the right one for the moment — or stack them.
App lock: protect the whole inbox
Use app lock when someone else can unlock your phone or laptop and casually open Kissend. It is the right default for shared devices, coworking desks, and family tablets.
App lock answers: “Can anyone open my messenger?”
Hidden chats: protect specific threads
Use hidden chats when only some conversations need extra discretion inside an otherwise normal inbox. Optional decoy unlock helps if someone pressures you to show the hidden area.
Hidden chats answer: “Which threads should stay out of the main list?”
Disappearing messages: protect leftover history
Use disappearing messages and view-once media when the content should not linger as a long archive. Pair with the locks above when both history and device access matter.
